Is their a difference between Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projection?

I’ve heard that what you do during Astral Projection can actually help/hurt people in the real world, but never heard anything like that about Lucid Dreaming. Is there a difference?

Ok. It is up to you to decide whether or not the two exist at all but the difference is this:
Lucid Dreaming is the ability to control your own dreams at will. But who’s to say you didn’t dream that you were controlling your dream?
People that practice Astral Projection believe that they can push their soul out of their body while the physical body is asleep but you stay conscious. I’ll add some sites for further reading. You can decide for yourself if it is real.

    Good Luck!!

They really are the same thing. Just different names depending on how you got to the astral.

Lucid dreaming is when you catch yourself in a dream and gain full awareness. What’s happening in the dream may not be “real” its all created by you. but you can end the dream and turn it into an astral projection.

Astral projection is consciously entering into the astral (or some other dimension, “dream world” for lack of better words). From here, you usually find yourself in your room, (or more precisely, a replica of your room). you are not technically in a dream….yet.

So both get you to the astral. in one case, you enter through a dream. in the other case you enter consciously.

Hope this clears up the question.

    Yes, there is a difference.

With Astral Projection you get into the Astral Plane direct from your physical body. When you have a Lucid Dream, you have simply ‘missed’ the initial projection. They are just two different ways of entering the Astral Realm. In either case you are still conscious in the Astral, however, as there are degrees of lucidity in dreaming, you may or may not be fully in control of your experience. But this is highly unlikely in an Astral Projection. There is still a difference, whether more slight or obvious.
