What is the point of guardian angels if God is everywhere?

Is He just sitting around and too lazy to help out so he sends angels to do all the dirty work.

  1. A guardian angel is an angel assigned to protect and guide a particular person. The concept of tutelary angels and their hierarchy was extensively developed in Christianity in the 5th century by Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite.

The theology of angels, and tutelary spirits, has undergone many refinements since the 400s, and belief in both the eastern and western churches is that guardian angels protect whichever person to whom God assigns them, and present prayers to God on that person’s behalf. The Roman Catholic Church’s calendar of saints includes a memorial for the guardian angels on October 2.

  2. Religion is filled with contradictions….that’s what happens when you have no facts, other than a fairy tale, to back you up.

  3. Hebrews 1:13 But to which of the angels has He ever said: “SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, TILL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES YOUR FOOTSTOOL”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

He made angels to do His bidding just like He made us to do His bidding. It isn’t a matter of God being like some fat Jabba the Hut type of being.

Rather it is an act of loving kindness that God allows His creatures to join Him in His work like a father letting his 5 year old son “help” him fix the car by getting a wrench from the tool box.

John 11:39 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” 40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” 43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” 44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”

Jesus could have rolled away the stone and loosed Lazarus all by Himself but He demonstrated how God invites us to join Him in His work.

  4. God is everywhere?

What verse in the bible says God is omnipresent??

According to Jesus God is in heaven

Matthew 6:9 Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10 Let your kingdom come.

    Father in the heavens
