  1. Do you have Pulmonary Tuberculosis?
I hope you didn’t just stop taking the medications. How long have you been taking the meds?
The goal of treatment is to cure the infection with drugs that fight the tuberculosis bacteria. The intial treatment may involve a combination of many drugs. It is continued until lab tests show which medicine works best.

Treatment usually lasts for 6 months, but longer courses may be needed for persons with AIDS or whose disease responds slowly.

You may need to be admitted to a hospital to prevent the spread of the disease to others until you are no longer contagious.

Incomplete treatment of TB infections (such as failure to take medications for the prescribed length of time) can contribute to the emergence of drug-resistant strains of bacteria.

  2. First of all, let me extend my sympathies for your side effects – I am extremely sensetive to various medicines.
I don’t know what PTB is, however it may not be safe to suddenly quit the treatment. Talk to your doctor how the withdrawal/reduction should be handled till you find a fullfledged alternative. Some teaching medical universities may have division for alternative suggestions (not herbal) like accupuncture etc.
I cannot help you much with herbal medicine search, but I have heard about practices by properly licensed people at various places.
    Good luck and take care.

  3. you should call your dr. asap!!! you do not want to end up with bad prob. down the road!!!! please call your dr.

  4. You should consult a doctor before you change your medicine.
And even if some medicine is not suiting you its better if you let your doctor know about this rather than changing your medicine without proper consultation.
