how does meditation work and can it stop bad thoughts?

hi 4 the past few month i been having constant bad thoughts and can seem 2 get rid of them, i hared meditation can help pure the mind i was just wounded wot the benefits of meditation is. and has anyone try-ed it.

    Meditation separates you from your thinking. Then you see that you are not your thoughts and you can be free of them.

    I use it all the time. It helps relax you and find your inner self and yes it does improve.

    Another thing that helped me go from being SO NEGATIVE to SO POSITIVE was researching the Law Of Attraction and then reading Conversations with God

    I feel so alive and so great now because of this. Tony Robbins WAS SO RIGHT about positive thinking.

    Meditation will calm the mind allowing you more perspective, it will not get rid of thoughts simply allow you to be calmer with them. & that of course leads to a more positive mind!

    I use meditation to calm my self after a hard days work. Meditation is a great way to relax, if you try to meditate and you still find that you are having negative thoughts, you need to find the source of your negativity. When I meditate I burn sage, turn off all lights, and electronics and sit in the middle of my room, either on the bed or the floor. I close my eyes and just take deep breaths.

    I tried meditation and let me tell you it works. You should definitely try to learn it if you have money (transcendental meditation classes cost over $1000), but you will see the results.

    If you don’t have the money to spend, try websites like brainsync.com or selfhelptree.com, they have free online meditation sessions.
