  1. Well done on getting the pronounciation right on ‘apothecary’ before this introductory vid 😉 Will be watching this series with interest Rick, looks like you’ve a great set up to start with. Are you keeping your herb stash in the dark? I think light depletes their vitality more quickly!

  3. great video, in learning my profession I learned a bit about plants/herbs. and I’m continuing learning about indigenous plants… anything that can be used for food/medicine etc…

  4. Rick, are you still snowed in over there in England? You mentioned 2012…that’s a Freudian slip. In 2012, the only medicines available to mankind may be only herbs.

  5. I look forward to your up coming videos on this. I really enjoy all your videos you do.
    :o)

  6. @JustFresh099 the container gardening for food website will be up and running forever – I’ll be concentrating on growing herbs this year but will still also be growing potatoes and onions etc :o)

  7. @FenderGibsonWashburn You are so spot-on. Over here it’s just the same. Fortunately there does seem to be a “waking up” movement happening, but will it be enough, or too little too late?

  8. @rickvanman I guess it’s easy to ignore what a mess we are in when there are such important things to be concerned with like who will get kick off of Dancing with the Stars or who is going to rehab or the stats of their favorite sports team. Whenever I try to explain the importance of the latest bill being debated in Congress I can literally see their eyes glaze over. It worries me to think, how far do things have to go before people start paying attention?

  9. Too bad there won’t be that much regular gardening videos. Will you continue to maintain your container gardening for food website?

  10. @FenderGibsonWashburn Hi Paul – it’s just all so massively massively wrong isn’t it? Yet as far as I can tell, people in the US still insist on standing up and singing about living in the ‘land of the free’. What am I missing here?

  11. Rick, Cant wait for more on this. So far I have enjoyed all of your videos that I have watched.

  12. @rickvanman as Eddie Izzard once said on the subject of why the English pronounce this word the way they do, “…because there’s a [expletive]ing H in it.” haha

  13. i made a short video on how to grow herbs indoor and make them into tinctures if your interested.

Just go to my channel you will find it.
give me some feedback let me know if the video helped or not!

  14. I am looking forward to see you growing herbs and give me ideas 🙂
I started to grew a few last year and it was great to see the result.
would you make a video where you show us what kind of seeds you have purchased and where did you purchase them?
