  1. There are only 12 zodiac signs, Aries through Pisces. When people say for example, “My moon sign is in Taurus”, that means that the moon was moving through the constellation Taurus when they were born. Same with the sun sign. Since your sun is in Pisces, that means that the sun was moving through Pisces when you were born.

Every planet can be in a different sign at any given time. So yes, there are only twelve signs.

I hope I helped some, good luck!

  2. The most popular form of traditional Western astrology is sun sign astrology, the kind found in the horoscopes of many daily newspapers. A horoscope is an astrological forecast. The term is also used to describe a map of the zodiac at the time of one’s birth. The zodiac is divided into twelve zones of the sky, each named after the constellation that originally fell within its zone (Taurus, Leo, etc.). The apparent paths of the sun, the moon, and the major planets all fall within the zodiac. Because of the precession of the equinoxes, the equinox and solstice points have each moved westward about 30 degrees in the last 2,000 years. Thus, the zodiacal constellations named in ancient times no longer correspond to the segments of the zodiac represented by their signs. In short, had you been born at the same time on the same day of the year 2,000 years ago, you would have been born under a different sign.

In fact, there should be 13 signs, not 12.

According to the boundaries for the constellations adopted by the International Astronomical Union in 1921, there are 13 signs of the zodiac instead of the usual 12; time from Ophiuchus the snake handler is usually included in time given to Scorpius. If you already know your astrological sign from reading an astrology column in a newspaper or from consultation with an astrologer, you may be surprised that few of these dates correspond to the dates listed in the newspaper’s astrological column. Why? Generally, listed astrological signs and the dates given by most astrologers assume that you were born around 140 AD.

  3. The moon signs are basically the same as sun signs.
    Like Aries through Pisces.

Moon signs just mean your “inner” self or who you “truly” are inside.

You need your date of birth, time, and where you were born to find this information!

    Good luck.
