Is there such thing as being an dark pagan?

I got a answer on my other question about being a dark pagan, when you embrace the light side and the dark side to witchcraft/pagan/neo-pagan/ect. Is this real?

  1. Yes, there is a such thing as Dark Paganism…generally people who engage in darker aspects of Pagan practices and beliefs.

Keep in mind though, dark does NOT necessarily mean evil.

  2. No, there is no such thing as a “dark pagan” or a “light pagan”. Pagans do not accept the concept of absolute evil, nor do they accept the concept of absolute goodness (although the majority of us do beneficial and positive workings that are considered good).
As a pagan, I would say that the majority of us do not believe in light and dark. Everything falls in between because everything in Nature must have balance. Think of it this way- there are cruel people and loving people in the world. Therefore, it balances each other out.

This is a huge thing that people think about when it comes to Wicca and Witchcraft. There is no good or evil. Sure, there are some spells on the Internet that claim to be “black magick” or “white magick”, but it really isn’t the case. Everything must have balance, therefore, there is no bad and good. When it comes to Witchcraft, the only bad there can be is if a Witch has evil in their heart. Other than that, there is no light or dark sides.
