Q&A: “Soul Mates?” Does anyone truly believe that someone special is out there for you and only you?

Question by Tootsie: “Soul Mates?” Does anyone truly believe that someone special is out there for you and only you?
I just answered a question stating that I really believed that we all have a “soul mate” out there somewhere. Now I’m questioning my own response. Perhaps I was so caught up in a relationship that took me beyond my wildest expectations that I thought I had found that person.. Well I did – he just wasn’t ready for ME!

It’s possible. I haven’t found my soul mate yet, though.

  2. I believe things happen for a reason. I think you end up with someone and that was inevitable. But soulmates… I think a person has a handful of kindred souls throughout their lifetime– and sometimes they would work out romantically, but often times not.

  3. Hellz yeah the world is made up of so much paths going every which way people are grown up very different and look for all sorts of things that make them happy and if the 2 special people grown up to perfectly match every aspect of happy out there for them happen to meet then sparks fly in their world and they journy off together to the end of life.

  4. I thought I had found my soulmate, but apparently I was not his. I believe that there is someone out there for everybody, if everybody wants that someone. I think there are those who we have more in common with and enjoy being with, but maybe they don’t feel the same way towards us. So we find someone who meets most of our criteria, maybe not all, but is generally a good person, and then we settle. It’s not a soulmate, but a darn good partner to weather life’s journey with. And isn’t that really what it’s all about?
