The memorial Celtic Cross was designed by Ford Maddox Brown. At the base, the monogram ‘R’. Above, St Luke, patron saint of artists, is represented, and above St Luke is the winged ox, Luke’s symbol. Above the winged ox, is Dante, DGR’s namesake. At the centre of the cruciform, Eve and temptation.
