Intentional Silence: The Journey Inward Many religious traditions entail the importance of being quiet and still in mind and spirit for transformative and fundamental sacred growth to occur. Silence is core to all spiritual practices. Silence means being tranquil so that we can pay attention to the Voice that seeks out our hearts and minds. “Let us be silent, that we may hear the whispers of the gods.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emmerson Credits: Music: Enya, “Isabella” Visual media: “Deep Silence” By Joseph Eagle www.eaglezen.com Copyright Humanity Healing 23 August 2008 FAIR USE NOTICE This videocontains copyrighted material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner. 1. green is the power of will in the universe, and it’s the most honest power of them all

  2. i like to meditate by focusing on my breath I inhale five seconds exhale five seconds and try not to become attached to my thoughts at 20 to 30 minutes a day

  3. It could be better in several ways. My opinion is that it is somewhat skimming the surface.

  4. Try an excellent video on youtube: “Spiritual Reality Power Of Meditation”, 56:33 minutes, posted by toneyrahulsharma. It has over a million and 300 thousand hits (views). I share it all the time with others. Very calming and wise.

  5. I was joking. Killing someone because they speak with a high pitched voice would be ridiculous.

  6. You need help my friend. concerning of the actions of others to such an extreme that it makes you want to kill them? that isn’t right. That’s not peace, or tolerance. it’s an opinion. so use it as relaxation, some use it to awaken themselves Eisenstein used it but he never called it meditation he called it “thought experiments” but what we are all doing is the same allowing ourselves to be free our mind to wander letting go of the worries we have.

  7. “You should mediate every day for 20 minutes, if you don’t have that time you should meditate for an hour” :)

  8. you can even laydown or sit with your legs straight in front, or in a chair like rube cube said, hope this helps you 🙂

  9. If you are looking for the truth 0f life & death, go on truthcontest[.]com and read =The Present=

  10. I’m high right now and all the homicidal impulses are gone. Killing someone for saying meditation is a relaxation technique, that would be a bit over the top. If they said it with a high pitched voice now, then it’d be justified.

  11. I’m withdrawing from various drugs at the moment and I’m prone to the old homicidal rage. Thinking about people who say meditation is a relaxation technique makes me wanna kill some of these people. You have to sift through mass amounts of bullshit on the internet to find any decent info on meditation. Also the high pitched voice in this video is triggering my homicidal rage.

  12. bromehrs you can lie down on a bed or the floor and meditate or stay standing with something supporting you

  13. I appreciate the channel and the kind loving perspective/goal, but I contest that silence and a true internal journey will not lead to god, or any other external force… It will lead you to understanding your true being, what makes you tick and why, your fears, your desires, your flaws and your strengths. It will make them real and significant and change your life forever in ways only you can do but cannot currently imagine.

  14. yes ,to remove all background noise, easier said than done but absolutely worth trying, few tips ; in the nature, barefoot, alone…or trying to do the stairs other way around or backword might help(i read this somewhere, not that effective for me)

  15. beautiful! so true though..i love to meditate in peace and silence especially around nature and big spaces..high places like mountains..under a bright full moon around whispering and accompanied trees..a time between you and your soul, the universe, god, and everything that comes with it.

  16. WHAT A GIFT is this VIDEO on SILENCE!The quotations are absolutely divine!!!

How beautiful the world will be when everyone becomes AWARE and SAVOURS her/his INner divinity!

  17. Thank you. This resonates, very much, with what the Wingmaker, has said about the quantum pause breathing.
    Namaste,
    Lisa

  18. “Silence… is brimming with melodies that you have never heard before, with a scent that is unknown to you, with a radiance that can only be seen with the eyes of the Spirit.”

    WOW!!!

Is this a quote from someone in particular? It is so beautiful!

  19. Intentional silence is so underestimated and this beautifully done video is a wonderful reminder to everyone of just how important it is. Thanks so much! Namaste!
