Keep Moving For Healthy Balance

I recently accompanied a friend to a class for back problems. The speaker was a physical therapist that specialized in sports injuries...talked about using our muscles all the time…with awareness in different activities. When we get up out of our chairs we should use our leg muscles to lift us up instead of heaving ourselves up with...never to young or old to benefit.

Meditation - How Can I Start?

...quieting the mind from the everyday chatter; a time for inner peace to take over soothing the inner self. If you happen to find it difficult holding still in your mind for any length of time, know that is o.k. A minute would be sufficient as a starting point if that is where your level of comfort is. Desire and effort is what counts.

  • Inspiration Turned to Action and Writing

Albion, RI (PRWEB) October 18, 2011

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, As long as a man stands in his own way, everything seems to be in his way. With inspiration from famed authors such as Robert Frost, Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson, Don J. Metivier now pens his own philosophical observations through verse in Poems from the Mind of a Madman: Passionate Works of Poetry For Modern Times (published by AuthorHouse).

From lifes little curiosities to major ongoing world conditions, my writings will provide the reader with an opportunity for greater personal reflection, says Metivier.

From Poems from the Mind of a Madman:

    Choices

Most of the time, they are good

We made all the lifes choices we could

But, when did you last take a look?

Checkmates at hand when the pawn beats the rook

Falling from grace, is the angels fate

Never reaching the magic of Heavens gate

How about you, will you choose right, and are you worth it?

Did you go through life honest, or did you fake it?

  • DH Lawrence Ranch Tour June 19, 2010

There was a tour of the DH Lawrence Ranch near San Cristobal, NM on June 19, 2010. I decided to go. I am the Webmaster for them. Somehow or other the announcement of the tour went out on the AP wire and LOTS of people showed up. I think they expected maybe 20-25 people, and over 100 showed up! It’s a beautiful place. The place is closed right now, so don’t just show up until further notice. To see their Web site use the link below. Background sounds recorded in my front yard by me. Video by me; photographs by me.
